Bassetti Photo Calendar
Bassetti Photo is a leader in school and sports photography. Using cutting edge equipment, they primarily service schools and sports leagues, photographing hundreds of thousands of kids each year. When their wall-sized white board was no longer big enough, they needed an application for salesmen to schedule jobs and managers to monitor job progress. Finding prebuilt solutions either too expensive or more complicated than needed, they reached out to me. Their specs were simple and I developed the first Bassetti Photo Calendar. After enjoying it for a few months, they came to appreciate how quick and inexpensive it was to build a custom application. Bassetti Photo called me back for an upgrade.
With a longer list of features this time, I built the Bassetti Photo Calendar v2. One of the new features is the ability to tap the database of the Calendar’s sister application, the Bassetti Photo Schedule v2, for quick and easy access to a specific job’s scheduled employees.
Check it out.
(The Calendar runs on the company’s intranet and is password protected. The above link goes to an identical version running on my site. They were nice enough to provide me with a few months of old data, so please navigate to February 2005 for some sample data. Username/password: guest/pass. Since only a limited number of computers would be able to access these applications, I built them to a specific spec, which did not include Internet Explorer. Please use another browser.)
